File sharing between an Android device and an iPhone may soon get less cumbersome, thanks to Google.
Quick Share is Google's version of AirDrop that makes it seamless to share files between Android devices, Chromebooks, and Windows computers. According to recent sightings by Android Authority, it appears that Google is working on extending it to iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
A comment from a Google engineer on the relevant code indicates this might add support for these various Apple devices, hinting that an application could be in the works. While this isn't an official declaration, it's a great omen.
In the meantime, Quick Share has been supported on most Androids since its beta launch way back in 2020 under the name of Nearby Share.
